Northern Colorado sees hail through late spring and summer, and Fort Collins is no exception. Hail can bruise shingles, knock off granules and dent vents, gutters and metal without leaving damage you can see from the ground.
Wind coming off the foothills and strong sun wear on sealant, vent boots and flashing over time. On low-slope commercial roofs, seams, edges and penetrations are the places we check first.
If a storm has come through, a free inspection gives you documented facts before you decide anything. Read more in how to tell if your roof has hail damage.
We pull the reroof permit with the City of Fort Collins unless your contract says otherwise.
City of Fort Collins Building Services issues building permits and licenses contractors inside city limits (fortcollins.gov). Homes outside city limits are permitted by Larimer County, so we confirm the right office for your address.
Per fortcollins.gov, a roof repair or replacement over 100 square feet (one roofing square) needs a permit.
Fort Collins requires Class 4 impact-resistant shingles when 50 percent or more of the roof is replaced (fortcollins.gov). We plan materials around this from the first estimate.
The City requires drip edge and proper ventilation on reroofs, and ice and water shield over conditioned space (fortcollins.gov). We build these into the scope.
Rules change as codes are updated, so we confirm the current requirements with the City when we pull your permit. For more background, see roofing permits: city vs. county in Colorado.
If you manage an HOA, a multi-family community or a commercial building in Fort Collins, we can inspect the roofs, document what we find and plan the work around your residents or tenants.
See our HOA and multi-family roofing and commercial roofing pages.
We also work in Loveland, Berthoud, Greeley and the rest of the Northern Front Range. See every area we serve on our Where We Work page.
Yes. Per fortcollins.gov, any roof repair or replacement over 100 square feet needs a permit. We pull the reroof permit unless your contract says otherwise.
When 50 percent or more of the roof is replaced, yes (fortcollins.gov). We explain what applies to your roof during the inspection.
Yes. Our Fort Collins work so far has been commercial, and we also serve homeowners. See our commercial roofing page.
Nothing. We inspect, document what we find and explain your options. There is no obligation.

I had piece of mind getting a free estimate on a damaged roof. After hearing about the 50 warranty on the metal roof I was sold. No more damaged roofs for this guy. Please do what I did and get these guys working on your roof asap.Posted on Google![]()

Picking a roofing company is hard. Many will promise incentives to use them. One even tried to bring me a case of palisade peaches haha. Benny Izquierdo of Blue Peaks Roofing LLC is the real deal! He made time to meet with our insurance adjuster & was instrumental in getting the needed monies for the hail damage we had suffered. His crew is fast & efficient and do quality work at every turn. Even going the extra mile for above industry standards on the Ice & Water shielding underlay, Class 4 shingles and such I won’t lie, getting a roof and dealing with roofing company sales pitches is stressful. And no two stories are the same. Each has their own version of the damage and what will probably need to be done as extras, such as replacing boards. You’ll be informed in great detail of the overall plan. Many pages of it haha. But no matter any issues that can even only be discovered during the install, Benny & Blue Peaks will keep on it. Do yourself a favour and at least speak with him first before signing up another companyPosted on Google![]()

Outstanding! Above and beyond my expectations. I was so tired of roofers 'ghosting' me and being late and calling me back.
