Blue Peaks Roofing is a roofer serving Cherry Hills Village from our office in Littleton, a short drive down the road. We replace and repair roofs on homes across the city, from older ranch houses to large custom homes on wooded lots.
Every project starts with an inspection and a straight answer about whether your roof needs a repair, a replacement or nothing at all. If you go ahead, a dedicated project manager runs the job, with daily updates, through the final walkthrough.
Here is how we help homeowners across Cherry Hills Village.
Full tear-off and replacement in Cherry Hills Village with a written scope, a permit and the required inspections.
Leaks, wind damage, missing shingles, flashing and vent problems. We tell you when a repair is the smarter call.
A documented inspection with photos so you know what the storm actually did to your roof.
Class 4 rated shingles, led by Atlas and also TAMKO and GAF, for homeowners who want more hail protection.
Gutter replacement, often scheduled with the roof so the edges are done right.
We also work on commercial and low-slope roofs for businesses and community buildings in and around Cherry Hills Village. See commercial roofing.
Many Cherry Hills Village homes have big, detailed roofs with several planes and valleys, skylights, tall chimneys and low-slope sections over porches or additions. Each of those details is a place where a roof can leak if the flashing is not done right, so our written scope lists them one by one before work starts.
On wooded lots we plan the tear-off around mature trees, protect landscaping and walkways, and finish with a magnetic nail sweep of the yard and driveway.
Not every large home should get asphalt shingles. Standing seam metal suits low-slope sections and modern designs, stone-coated steel is a metal panel with a stone-chip finish, and concrete tile fits Mediterranean and Spanish style homes built to carry the weight. To compare options, see metal roof vs shingle roof in Colorado, or read how our roof replacement process works.
Big trees are part of what makes Cherry Hills Village feel the way it does, and they are behind a lot of the leaks we see here. Leaves and needles pile up in valleys and behind chimneys, hold water against the flashing and let it work under the shingles.
Winter brings ice dams. Snow melts over the warm part of the roof, refreezes at the colder eaves and pushes water back up under the roofing. Read more about winter roof leaks and ice dams.
We trace the leak to its source, photograph what we find and tell you whether a roof leak repair is enough. If the problem is urgent, call us during business hours at 303.808.0687.
Hail is a regular part of spring and summer along the Front Range, and Cherry Hills Village sits right in the path of storms that cross the south Denver metro. Hail can bruise shingles, knock off granules and dent vents and gutters without leaving damage you can see from the yard.
The City notes a history of ice damming, which is why it requires an ice barrier along the lowest roof edges on reroofs. Many lots here also have large, mature trees, so we pay close attention to valleys, gutters and branches that rub or drop debris onto the roof.
If a storm has come through, an inspection gives you documented facts before you decide anything. Read more in how to tell if your roof has hail damage.
The City of Cherry Hills Village Building Division issues roofing permits for homes in the city. We pull the reroof permit unless your contract says otherwise.
Per the City’s roofing requirements (cherryhillsvillage.com), every reroof gets a pre/mid-roof inspection so the inspector can check the decking, underlayment and ice barrier before the roof is closed up.
The City requires an ice barrier in place of regular underlayment from the lowest edges of the roof, and drip edge at eaves and gables on asphalt shingle roofs.
According to the City, replacing less than one square (100 square feet) of roofing is treated as general maintenance and does not need a permit. Larger repairs do.
Rules change as codes are updated, so we confirm the current requirements with the City when we pull your permit. For background, see roofing permits: city vs. county in Colorado.
Some Cherry Hills Village subdivisions have HOAs or covenants that review roof color, material or style. If yours does, approval usually has to come before work starts.
We can provide the product details and color information your HOA asks for so you can submit your request. If you serve on a board or manage a community, see our HOA and multi-family roofing page.
Most homes we see here have asphalt shingles. We install Atlas and TAMKO shingles, in both architectural styles and Class 4 impact-resistant lines. Class 4 is the top rating in the UL 2218 impact test, the standard used to rate how well shingles stand up to impact. See residential roofing and impact-resistant shingles.
Our credentials include TAMKO Pro Platinum and Atlas PRO+ Silver Level, and we register your manufacturer warranty once your roof is finished.
For homes that call for something different, we also install standing seam metal, stone-coated steel and concrete tile.
We do not have published project photos from inside Cherry Hills Village yet. These are recent roofs from neighboring Littleton and Denver.

Cherry Hills Village sits between Englewood, Greenwood Village and Denver. We also work in Littleton, Centennial, Denver and Highlands Ranch, and across the south Denver metro.
Review time depends on the City’s workload, so we do not promise a date before the permit is issued. Once it is, we give you a start window and plan the job around the City’s inspection.
It depends on your subdivision, and not every set of covenants here covers the roof. Check your covenants or ask your HOA before you choose a color, and we will give you the product names and color details to include with your request.
Usually not. The City treats a repair of less than one square of roofing as general maintenance. If your repair is bigger than that, we pull the permit for you before the work starts.
We will inspect the roof, document what we find and explain your options in plain language. Call (303) 808-0687 or send us a note through our contact page.
